Confirmation Team – Adults is offered to those adults 18 years and older who, for various reasons, have never completed their initiation into the Catholic community by celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation. Preparation is offered each year in January and February. For more information, contact Norm Bross, normb@hfkparish.org .
Confirmation Team - Youth Is offered every year to those who are in 7 – 12th grade. Formation and preparation for this sacrament is a year-long process in which you are able to learn more about the faith in which you were baptized and grow spiritually in preparation to receive this final sacrament of initiation. Preparation includes small group formation, attending a retreat, contributing to ministry and service in our parish, and ongoing meetings with a sponsor. All teens registered in Confirmation, regardless of school affiliation, are expected to participate in formation and preparation activities with our parish. For more information, contact Cathleen Ito; cathleeni@hfkparish.org.
First Reconciliation and Eucharist is offered to students age 7 and up. Preparation involves both children and parents. All children preparing must be enrolled in parish Faith Formation classes or attend Holy Family Parish School and be registered members of the parish. For more information, contact Connie Moretti, conniem@hfkparish.org.
Infant & Child Baptism is the first sacrament of initiation for welcoming children, 0 to 6 years of
age, into the faith community. The Infant Baptism Team provides preparation to help parents understand
the meaning of Baptism and its celebration and offers ways to practice Christian parenting. Infant Baptism is celebrated approximately six times a year at our weekend Masses. The time commitment is 4 hours for the preparation class and 2 hours (one hour prior to Mass and one hour after Mass) for each Baptism. For more information please contact Julie Klinkenberg, juliek@hfkparish.org.
Marriage is a covenant by which a man and woman establish a partnership as a couple with God, for
their whole lives. To be valid, Catholic marriage must take place in the church before a priest or deacon and two witnesses. By its very nature, marriage is ordered to the wellbeing of the spouses. To appreciate this special vocation, those who are planning to marry at Holy Family parish must be part of our marriage preparation program. Before finalizing a date or venue, contact Betsy Staal at the parish, betsys@hfkparish.org, for more information, at least six months prior to your intended date.
RCIA for Adults is a process through which non-baptized adults or baptized adults of a different Christian denomination may enter into Full Communion with the Catholic Church. Baptized Catholics who have not received the Sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation may also join us. For more information, contact Norm Bross, normb@hfkparish.org.

HFK Youth Ministries Core Team Members are a diverse group of adults who come together to lead teens closer to Christ through relational ministry, and the Eucharist. They help to plan and implement the Sunday night youth gatherings as well as attend various outside activities such as retreats, socials, service projects and mission trips. CORE members have a love for their faith, an openness to working with teens and a willingness to model a Catholic life. Training, team development and retreat experiences are provided for CORE throughout the year. We ask that volunteers commit to the program for one year. Safe Environment Training is required. There is always need for parishioners to intentionally pray for our youth during the year. Please consider signing up for this important ministry.
